DhanTravel.com, a new travel and restaurants recommendations platform, is seeking a talented and passionate Editor to join our dynamic team. As an Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing the content that millions of travelers rely on for their adventures around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Edit and proofread travel articles, blog posts, destination guides, and other content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to Lonely Planet's style guidelines.
- Collaborate with writers, photographers, and other content creators to develop compelling and informative travel content that resonates with our audience.
- Conduct thorough research to fact-check information, verify sources, and ensure the highest level of content integrity.
- Stay updated on travel trends, destinations, and industry developments to provide fresh and relevant content recommendations.
- Assist in content planning and strategy, identifying gaps and opportunities to enhance the website's user experience.
- Optimise content for SEO, ensuring articles are well-structured and include relevant keywords.
- Maintain a consistent tone and voice across all content, aligning with Lonely Planet's brand identity.
Requirements:
- Strong editing and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proven experience in editing travel-related content, preferably in a digital publishing environment.
- Posses a natural affinity to culture and aesthetic
- Excellent research skills to fact-check and verify information.
- Ability to work collaboratively and provide constructive feedback to writers and content creators.
- A passion for travel and a deep understanding of the needs and interests of travellers.
- Proficiency in content management systems and basic knowledge of SEO principles.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
