A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the team of one of Gloucester’s leading providers of care services. We are looking for an experienced dementia link worker with a minimum of 2 years’ care experience.
What you will be doing
Providing hands-on care and advice to our complex dementia clients
Providing personal care to our clients includes washing, dressing, assisting and dispensing medication, and meal preparation.
To provide care to service users in accordance with policy and procedure.
To give on-going support to new and existing staff around the complexities of dementia, ensuring the client remains at the heart of what we do.
To carry out duties to enable Bramble Home Care to continue to comply with and meet all standards relevant to national regulation and local authority requirements.
What we need form you
To provide guidance and support to the care support staff in managing complex dementia care.
To provide and demonstrate care in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, and relevant regulations, under the direction of the manager.
To maintain skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain practices as up-to-date.
To have an active awareness of personal responsibility and accountability for helping to ensure that a safe working environment is maintained in accordance with legislation.
To work alongside the dementia lead and other dementia link workers.
To carry out duties to enable Bramble Home Care to continue to comply with and meet all standards relevant to national regulation and local authority requirements.
Skill and Qualification
Dementia Link Worker Award
NVQ Level 2 or 3
Supervisory experience is desirable
Good record-keeping skills.
Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised in a fast-paced community environment.
Exceptional communication skills
