I am seeking an experienced Science Teacher for the 2030-24 school year. What you will do: Teach secondary pupils skills, knowledge, and scientific attitudes through general science, earth science, biology, chemistry, or physics courses. Plan a balanced science instructional program involving demonstrations, lectures, discussions, and student experiments. Demonstrate scientific concepts using scientific apparatus, experiments, and standard or teacher-prepared instructional aids. Provide individual and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of pupils. Instruct pupils in properly using, caring, and safely handling chemicals, science equipment, and plant and animal life. Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to promote a productive learning environment. Develop interest centers, models, and displays to motivate learning of science. Evaluate each pupil’s growth in knowledge, skills, and scientific attitudes. Assist pupils in the selection and development of individual research projects. Cooperate with school administration in providing science displays and programs for the school and community. Develop weekly lesson plans and supplementary materials compatible with the District's primary instructional philosophy and curriculum. Provide students with the opportunity to partake in daily patriotic observance. Monitor classroom environment to ensure clean and safe conditions, notifying the principal of any unclean or unsafe classroom conditions.
